2nd place at the Gender Equality Champion at ITB Berlin 2023

ETUR proudly became the first Guayaquil-based tourism company to receive global recognition for its commitment to gender equality. The agency and tour operator was awarded 2nd place worldwide at the Gender Equality Champion of the Year Award, organized by @equalityintourism and the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance, during International Women’s Day, March 8, at ITB Berlin, Germany.  

This accolade highlights ETUR’s innovative corporate policies promoting gender equality across all aspects of its operations, including equal opportunities, flexible work arrangements, anti-harassment procedures, recruitment, promotions, fair compensation, and the selection of service providers within the tourism value chain.

This milestone is particularly significant as ETUR was the only South American company recognized, setting a new standard in the global tourism industry and reinforcing its position as a leader in sustainable and inclusive tourism practices.
